Sidenotes 2 2003-04-09 8:17 p.m. Thus ended the magic common test with Mr Dio giving us "Elm" for the context question. Marvelous, and i just brushed through it the night before. Then Ishiguro was the last chapter of the book, a section one would never expected would come out. Ah well. As for Chinese, The essay was just ok and the rest was challenging. Surprisingly, dear Lucas left section A all blank. Not that it would make a difference anyway, he said. Most probably true. This set of side notes are just for events and past incidents that come to mind. they are such that they can never be classified under one main heading, but they are noticeable sections of my life. For example, last year, I was so depressed over my promo results that I ignored everything passing me. Everything, until I noticed Debbie waving at me. it was just a small, 2 second wave, something one may not notice when one has troubled thoughts. Then it came again, ever so gently. She may not have been waving to me, but this small act rebuilt the hope that was lost from me. I smiled and waved back. Then Mr Whitby came by and we both waved at him. Another instance: Lucas came into GP class once and started singing, (of all things) "Oh baby, baby, its a wide world". This continued even as Miss Wan stepped into class. How peculiar you may say. Wait until you hear the other incidents i had with Mr Neo. Yet another part of my life: I was sitting at one of the food courts in Orchard Road( it was at the bottom of Scotts I think) with Chih Hung and we were yakking about almost everything under the sun until my throat got dry and dear Mr Chan told me to buy my another drink. I croaked ,"You buy me twit. i spent my $50 on your enormous bowl of pasta." (Chih Hung, you know this wasn't the exact situation but I can't remember it to the finest detail. Unreliable first person narrative remember?) . Oh yeah, another time I was sitting with Chih Hung, Lucas and the rest of the A04 gang ( you would note that these two names pop up quite frequently) and I was telling Mr Chan about my "Tan" theory. ( For those interested, its the theory tan all those named "Tan" are so much more clever, more gifted than others and would surpass you in all aspects.) then Lucas interjected," so you think Louisa's better than you eh?" My reply" Well, we'll have to see the circumstances" Enough said. The next few entries will be thus: One on my adjudicating experience during the Juliet Gabriel debates, a string of entries of my experience in Germany (yes the study cum immersion programme in 2000) and my scouting life. That is if I have the time and bother to.
