Girls, Girls and Girls

2003-07-05 10:18 p.m.

Chih Hung, don't think this entry is about the girls that you say anything I fall in love with. I fully deny anything you say about them and me

Ah well. There are many people of the opposite sex and they fall into different categories. Some are really pretty, really cute girls so much that you wish you can get to know them better. You admire them from a distance, you oggle over them, and you wish that they will be your future partner for life.

In from this group comes another type of girl, ones that just are out of your reach. They are as beautiful as princess and as smart as you or even cleverer than you. A platonic relationship exists. You try to prove yourself to be worth of their friendship and love. You elevate them and try to match their standards. This is something like Stephen Blackpool and Rachael's love in Dicken's Hard Times.

Then again, there are those girls who put on so much make up and dress in skimpy clothes to try to gather as many boyfriends. They act as if they are bimbos and they world to look up and say how lovely they are. Should they be avoided? Well, that depends on whether you are that naive to fall into their trap.

The extreme opposite are those who look extremely disgusting and you wish you could look somewhere else. However, they make up for this lack of beauty in other areas like in brains or brawn. Loath them, ignore them, they make actually be ugly ducklings who will be beautiful swans in later life.

Then again, we meet those who are what many classify as scheming little girls. They sweet talk you, but later back stab you or plot your downfall. They also may despise you am simply use their influence to isolate you from others. Be wary of them for they are not easily recognised.

However, some girls just don't fit you definition of a girl at all. A stereotypical girl should be short, relatively nice and pretty. However, there are those that who can be really tall or really short. They tower over even guys whom you think are tall enough.

That is my perspective on girls. As usual, I bear no grudge against females. Furthermore, none of the categories here refer to any of the young ladies that I have encountered. The question I leave you is which type of girl do you prefer? What does you dream girl look like?

Incidentally, here are two songs and a poem regarding this topic:

YOUNG GIRL

Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl,
You're much too young, girl

With all the charms of a woman
You've kept the secret of your youth
You led me to believe
You're old enough
To give me Love
And now it hurts to know the truth

Oh,Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl,
You're much too young, girl

Beneath your perfume and make-up
You're just a baby in disguise
And though you know
That it is wrong to be
Alone with me
That come on look is in your eyes

Oh, Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl,
You're much too young, girl

So hurry home to your mama
I'm sure she wonders where you are
Get out of here
Before I have the time
To change my mind
'Cause I'm afraid we'll go too far

Oh, Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl,
You're much too young, girl

Hungry Eyes

Eric Carmen

I've been meaning to tell you
I've got this feeling that won't subside
I look at you and I fantasize
You're mine tonight
Now I've got you in my sights
With these

Hungry eyes
One look at you and I can't disguise
I've got
Hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you and I

I want to hold you, so hear me out
I want to show you what love's all about
Darling tonight
Now I've got you in my sights with these

Hungry eyes
One look at you and I can't disguise
I've got
Hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you and I
I've got

Hungry eyes

Now I've got you in my sights with my
Hungry eyes
Now did I take you by surprise?

I need you to see
This love was meant to be

I've got hungry eyes
One look at you and I can't disguise
I've got
Hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you and I
I've got hungry eyes

Now I've got you in my sights with my
Hungry eyes
Did I take you by surprise?
With my
Hungry eyes

I mean
Hungry eyes
Now that I've got you in my sights with my
Hungry eyes

The Munich Mannequins--Sylvia Plath

Perfection is terrible, it cannot have children.
Cold as snow breath, it tamps the womb

Where the yew trees blow like hydras,
The tree of life and the tree of life

Unloosing their moons, month after month, to no purpose.
The blood flood is the flood of love,

The absolute sacrifice.
It means: no more idols but me,

Me and you.
So, in their sulfur loveliness, in their smiles

These mannequins lean tonight
In Munich, morgue between Paris and Rome,

Naked and bald in their furs,
Orange lollies on silver sticks,

Intolerable, without mind.
The snow drops its pieces of darkness,

Nobody's about. In the hotels
Hands will be opening doors and setting

Down shoes for a polish of carbon
Into which broad toes will go tomorrow.

O the domesticity of these windows,
The baby lace, the green-leaved confectionery,

The thick Germans slumbering in their bottomless Stolz.
And the black phones on hooks

Glittering
Glittering and digesting

Voicelessness. The snow has no voice.
