Small snippets for your information and for me to remember:

Watch the Terminal with the Church gang around two Sundays ago. Hopped from Lido to Plaza Singapura because 1630 was too far away from us. Another change was that Terence’s magic plan of going to the Ice cream Buffet at Cineleisure (or was in PS itself?) was scrapped due to both the lack of funds (as in $$) and the lack of a majority vote. SO we while away the time at the arcade centre again, with “Crazy Taxi” being the most sought after game. Oh yes, a long lost face made his appearance—Andrew Chong, fellow ACSian for ten years and former ASPL from my cohort. He was Gabby’s classmate and hence he was invited along. SO there I was an NJCian stuck amongst people from ACJC. However, communication was not a problem at all. Andrew’s at some camp in the North west now, but he’s still the same quiet yet steady going guy he always was back in ACS and in Scouts. Another coincidental meeting with long lost friends. I must be blessed indeed.

The movie itself was hardly what I expected, a part comedy, part literal show. Maybe not even literal at all, since there was only one major theme that I could pick out—endurance provides rewards. Or something like that—gosh I am extremely rusty in my Literature. Makes me feel like going through my notes and the Holy Trinity’s pile of valuable stuff. This reminds me, I need to reorganize all my school notes one of these days. From what I hear and see, they still could be useful for University life.

Traing maybe over, but there’s still the training for the smaller units. On the subject of the army, much of it looked like a leadership training course that student leaders would go for rather than the serious planning that I expected. Middle Age Men playing Ice Breakers and mind building games was the last thing I ever would have expected. Welcome to the new age I guess. The word “cohesion” was thrown up almost countless number of times, with everyone unanimously seeking for that to occur. I guess there’s nothing wrong with that, but it seems such a short term and temporary one.

Life is still the same as always—I mean life besides NS. People are fading away rapidly, and old times and starting to be really ancient times unless you hang on to them. However, new faces pop by and they sort of make up for what is lost. Next thing, I’m trying to focus more on being a better Christian and disciple for Christ. Sounds totally unlike me alright, but yeah I’m trying. I’m still sliding down the wrong path with all the negative influences around me. I guess it leads back determination though. Ah, I’m re-reading the Bible, especially the parables and the verses that have deeper meaning. Will also try to set aside more time for prayer and meditation, something our small group has been focusing on. Ah, must focus, focus, focus…

More on religion and other issues soon…
