Now my secret's out... * 2009-08-15 8:57 p.m.
The title of this entry, if you youngsters haven’t a clue, is a line from Jennette McCurdy’s song, “ So Close”, a co-write which speaks volumes about that girl’s talent. It’s in fact only half of the line , the other half I’m not using for obvious reasons Anyway, if you have guess the not so tightly guarded secret by now, it’s splattered all over this online diary and if you are clever enough (like someone) you would have discovered it through my facebook account. Still in the dark? Boo, I’m no longer progressing through the lovely city of brum and its university but instead taking the high adventure to the institution that produced five famous/infamous spies of the Cold War. A little more obscure is the college I’m heading to, Darwin College, which despite it’s namesake, it wasn’t founded by Charles Darwin and does not rank amongst the other famous colleges, especially Trinity. Still, there are credible alumni from the college I’m heading to and there are famous academic fellows at my future temporary home. In any case, I’m not bragging or writing this entry for any one, rival or friend to shower praise on me. It’s just another humble step, especially with the course I’m pursuing there, a study that will take me to the heart of two different worlds. If people are in awe or curiosity that I’ve read Economics and Political Science, they’ll probably be even more in wonder over my next course. Frankly, neither course should be considered an “elite course” or an unusual one. Both have determined how we as individuals and as a collective progress and how we will progress. Both courses are marked with various debates on different spectrums and both courses allow you to dream of a universal end or a post-modernist point… Above all, it’s God guiding me through these courses, and God who will show me the future. It’s his hand working me through each line, each day. Exciting isn’t it?
